L3 Education and Training (RQF)
L3 Delivery of Conflict Management Training (RQF)
L3 Deliverers of Physical Intervention Training (RQF)
Hold a suitable L3 First Aid Certificate (with at least 12 months remaining before expiry)
Recognizing Prior Learning (RPL):
Those possessing a Level 3 Award for Deliverers of Physical Intervention Training in the Private Security Industry (RQF) can leverage the Level 3 teaching unit from it as recognized prior learning for this qualification.

Understanding Physical Intervention and its Legal and Professional Implications: This involves an understanding of the legalities related to the use of force, the potential health and safety implications of physical intervention, and the professional responsibilities of a trainer in this area.
Learning and Teaching Physical Intervention Skills: You will learn a range of physical intervention skills and how to teach these to others. This may include disengagement techniques, holding techniques, escorting techniques, and post-incident procedures, all specifically focused on the close protection sector.
Developing and Delivering Close Protection-specific Physical Intervention Training: You will understand how to tailor training for close protection operatives, acknowledging the unique scenarios and high-pressure environments these professionals may face.
Understanding the Principles of Learning and Teaching in Relation to Physical Intervention Skills: This will provide an understanding of how individuals learn and the teaching methods that can support learning, particularly in relation to physical intervention skills.
Assessment: Assessment typically involves a combination of practical assessments, written assignments, and a micro-teaching session in which you'll demonstrate your ability to teach physical intervention skills and mentor those who experience difficulties.
Upon successful qualification completion, trainers are equipped to conduct physical intervention training, provided they hold an active license for our exclusive SIA approved model. An annual fee of £250 applies for this license.
